On purchasing the BMW Z3 2.2 Straight 6, the car has needed to be renovated; as this vehicle was lacking in love care and attention. The major purchases to bring this car to the road was the: Bonnet/Hood, the Soft Top and the Near side respray. Of course there is the general maintenance, this included the front braking system and brake plates, or rotors, brake calipers to name a few. A record of purchases to include the supplier, items, cost, estimated appreciation and deprivation to the over all value of the vehicle based on the Z3 being added to the Classics Listings and possible profit if resold. Conclusion: Break-even point in 2021 if keeping it and knowing we have a Classic back on the road, much loved & proven reliability!

Updated: 2021 -2024 The price of upgrades and maintenance now exceeds it's financial value, (before official valuation 2021) however it is now 6+ years on from the purchase date and still road worthy, low mileage, and this particular model is sought after as it is an all-rounder or mid-range for home and sport use - It is not down to money at this point. (as I don't have any left ;) It is down to it's general reliability, the looks, has had the most spent on it, there is the durability, economy, (basic running costs) of this classic car that has proven impressive, for me at least. I don't intend to get rid of it. I am sure the government and all politicians, will most likely force this issue based on their policies and this for me will be a very sad day.....!
