Review:
Well! They came this afternoon, quick delivery considering the Christmas and New Year holiday period. On inspection they look a good design, looking robust with plenty of connection points for accessories on both clamps. I am looking forward to putting them onto my battery. The earthing strap would be a good starting point on a BMW, we will see how it goes...
Further review on fitting -
Notes on ordering: Some foreign suppliers will use within their adverts ' UK supplier or UK warehouse. Majority of the time this is not the case as it is most likely an office or residence with low overheads based within the UK and the order will still take up to 31 days to get to you, if it gets to you? The order is generated via the selling agent to the office and sent to the country of origin. This is poor business practice and dishonest to British customers and one will also suspect from this, a form of corruption may be in operation.
Another point: read the adverts carefully, some will suggest and show images of sets, it is common to only receive 1 item from the set, or the wrong item that appears within the image, (if dealing with the likes of some Eartern countries - the advert can be misinterpreted or misleading, as different trading laws may be more acceptable and operate within the country in question) - If there is a set mentioned and QTY = 1 usually it means eg. 1 item from a set of 2 or 4.+ This has been the case on websites such as for the likes of 'Wish' and sometimes eBay' dealing with foreign businesses and those businesses residing in the UK. Use Caution as many foreign countries understand by having to return products can prove just as expensive if not more; as this could include postage markups include initial puchase costs and delivery. They expect you to not dispute the discrepancy. One ends up with paying for nothing, epecially if you have returned the item and there is no replacement as there are additional costs and not forgetting, your time and efforts. (ref: via personal experiences). If in doubt, clarify your order before purchase via the supplier, get them to confirm via email, as you will need this as a form of proof if the transaction is not satisfactory to your expectations. Shop around, one advises to buy British where possible. One will end up in some cases paying a higher mark up price, only to be paying that in the long term with the foreign company, usually more! The difference is, one will normally get the correct ordered item; (majority of the time from within the UK) or at least one will not have to travel as far to deal with the supplier and we do also have 'Fair Trading practices' and laws to protect us as the consumer...
update: I have NOT had any problems with this supplier on this particular purchase
