7. THEN - Edgar Mitchell
Edgar Mitchell served as the lunar module pilot on the Apollo 14 mission. It was Mitchell’s first flight to space and he spent a total of 216 hours and 42 minutes in space.

Mitchell left NASA in 1972 and later founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences, which is dedicated to the study of consciousness. He also wrote several books on mystical experiences and psychic exploration.
