13. Ancient Roman Oil Lamps, 1st-5th century AD.
Ancient Roman, 1st Century AD. Excellent lamp with a cuttlefish! Eastern Mediterranean region. Mouldmade with brown slip, deeply concave disk within circular moulding. Cuttle transversely in middle with fill hole below. Rounded nozzle with two volutes, simple round handle. Raised disk base with uninscribed planta pedis. L: 4 3/8" (11.1 cm).

Ancient Rome, 2nd-3rd century AD. Nice terracotta oil lamp. Depicts a smiling child's fae in the central medallion, maker's mark "COMVNI" on base. Evidence of use spout still charred from use in antiquity. Red-orange coloration. 78 mm (2 7/8").
15. Ancient Roman Oil Lamps, 1st-5th century AD.
Ancient Rome, 2nd-3rd century AD. Lovely terracotta oil lamp. Simple indented circle on top, elongated spout with small air-hole. Some charring on spout from use in ancient times. Maker's mark "FORTIS" on base. Red-orange color. 87 mm long.

Incredible ancient Roman oil lamp, 1st-3rd century AD. Large discus-lamp with a central figure of a standing goddess in long robes. Detailed maker's mark on base.
Measures approx: 106 x 90 mm.
17. Ancient Roman Oil Lamps, 1st-5th century AD.
Ancient Roman 'swastika' lamp. 3rd-4th century AD. Amazing piece with a still-burned spout from its last use in ancient times. The base bears the familiar sign of a swastika... the stylised cross originally revered by the Romans as a symbol for luck. Measures 79 x 66 mm.

Ancient Rome, 2nd-3rd century AD. Terracotta oil lamp covered with depictions of wine grapes and grape vines. Outstanding! Perfect for a wine-lover's collection. Measures 90 mm (3 1/2 inches) long.

Roman Egypt, 4th - 5th Century AD. Large terracotta discus oil lamp, depicting the confronted busts of goddess Isis and god Serapis! 4 3/4" (12.1cm) long.
