1. Ancient Roman Oil Lamps, 1st-5th century AD
Ancient Rome, 2nd-3rd century AD.  Redware oil lamp depicting a Legionnaire / soldier standing wearing a crested helmet and holding a spear and shield. Rare workshop signature COPPI-RES on base.  5 1/8" (12.9cm) long.
2. Ancient Roman Oil Lamps, 1st-5th century AD.

Ancient Rome, 1st-2nd century AD. Redware oil lamp with a theatre mask! Mouldmade, central disk, with fill holes to either side of the mask, recessed within a tall border which runs along the spout to the wick hole. Outward sloping shoulders with two raised knobs. On base, maker’s mark OCTAVI within rings. 4” (102 mm) long.
3. Ancient Roman Oil Lamps, 1st-5th century AD.

Roman pottery oil lamp. 1st-2nd century AD. Discus-type lamp decorated with the bust of a god, probably Zeus, in profile. Striking detail and lovely earthen patina. Measures 102 mm (4 inches).

Large Roman pottery oil lamp. 2nd-3rd century AD. Discus-type with heart-shaped spout. Decorated with a medallion, hunter attacking a boar. 101 mm (4 1/4 inches).
