About
Publication Introduction

The Diary of a BMW Z3 2.2  is exactly what the title suggests, this is a diary of the tribulations, frustrations, soul destoying, an emblem of pride, events concerning a love hate relationship with a car, sounds familiar, doesn't it...

Like anyone that has owned a car, especially one of a second-hand purchase, from a dealership to the driveway, a car that presents ones personality to the world. Obviously you want it to work well, be reliable, hard working and maintenance free and look as good and if not better, than the wife or girlfriend!

Wishful thinking! But we all live in hope, sometimes we get a good one and other times we get a bad one... This is a story of one car that was given a second lease of life, especially when we consider the age of a vehicle and where they normally end up at a certain age, some we can save, others....well we can be glad to see the back of!  With this one, we shall see, as these cars are appreciating at an alarming rate....

Note: One recommends reading the diary first and then linking to workshop notes to maintain the understanding and continuity of the theme...

Information Concerning the Owner of this BMW Z3:

Nigel Wilcox was born in Sutton Coldfield, 1959, Warwickshire and now resides in the Bentley Heath area of Solihull falling within the boundaries of Birmingham UK. Currently single, so plenty of time for hobbies and following personal pastimes.
He holds licences for cars, heavy goods - coaches, forklifts Trucks Class 2 DCPC ADR and has had a little experience with tracked vehicles, admittedly a while ago,  such as a chieftan tank and armoured personnel carriers, (APC) and 3-4 tonners on the training grounds of Germany. Most experience comes via a short course with REME based in Donnington as a cadet at the time, as  teenager, however most has been down to DIY, or hands-on maintenance, a necessity like many, those preparing for an MOT. Nigel has also flown solo in a Tomahawk with 200 recorded hours in the pilots seat in the Channel Islands.

If you wish to communicate with the synops, for more personal in-depth discussions, please don't hesitate to use the email address provided.
