This vintage NASA film from the early 1980's looks at the joint NASA and ESA partnership to build Spacelab. Without a space station or destination, Spacelab extended the scientific capabilties of the trimmed down Space Shuttle and NASA budget. However, while Spacelab made the shuttle into a mini space station, the shuttle remained constrained by consumables and fuel limiting its stay in orbit.
