This very rare blue diamond fetched a handsome price when it sold at a Christie's auction in Geneva in November 2023. The 17.61-carat pear-shaped Bleu Royal diamond, which is set in a ring, fetched an astonishing $43.8 million (£34.4m).
According to Christie's, the gem is the "largest internally flawless fancy vivid blue gem" ever to appear for sale in auction history and had been part of a private collection for 50 years.
