21. ROMAN FLAGON

I century A.D.
Light orange fine-grained fabric; dark red slip covering exterior, terminated on inside below rim and at lower body, fired black in some parts. Low bellied body; short neck, bulging at top, pointed lip, short pedestal base. Wide strap handle with nearly-rectangular cross-section and two shallow  grooves on outside. Upper body decorated by a cordon. Slip worn off. Lip is chipped.
Approx: H.  5.6"(14.2 cm).
22. ROMAN FLAGON

I century B.C.- I century A.D.
Orange fabric with inclusions of lime; thick dark red slip covering exterior, terminated on inside of neck and at lower body. Globular body with one groove; wide parabolic neck with three grooves on upper part and raised girth at base;  everted rim with lip moulding; low pedestal foot. The handle has two light grooves on the outside, one inside.
Approx: H. 8.5" (21.6 cm).
23. ROMAN FLAGON

Second half of II- first half of III century A.D.
Brown fine-grained fabric; dark red slip covering exterior, terminated on inside below rim and at lower body, fired gray-brown in most parts. Compressed globular body gradually turning to parabolic neck with stepped base; horizontal rim with vertical edge; low pedestal foot, central part of underside slightly recessed. The handle has three grooves on the outside, the cross-section is kidney-shaped.
Approx: H. 5.9"(15 cm).
24. ROMAN FLAGON

I-first half of II century A.D.
Light brown-orange fine-grained fabric; dark-red gloss covering exterior, terminated on inside of neck and at lower body, fired dark-brown in some parts. Globular body, parabolic, narrow, short neck with wide sharp ribbed biconical rim. Low wide foot, underside protruded, leaving perimeter recessed. Rectangular-sectioned handle with  groove outside. Multiple wheel-ridging.
Approx: H. 7.4"(18.8 cm).
25. ROMAN FLAGON

I century A.D.
Cream fabric; red slip covering exterior, terminated on inside and at lower body, fired dark-brown in some parts. Rounded body, gradually turning to double grooved horizontal shoulder; long tubular neck with double grooved base, three grooves below junction with handle; outcurved rim; low foot with central part of underside protruded. Rectangular-sectioned handle with  two grooves outside. Neck slightly tilted.
Approx: H. 7.8"(19.8 cm).
26. ROMAN FLAGON

II-III century A.D.
Pink-orange fabric with red slip covering exterior, terminated on inside of neck and at lower body, fired dark brown in some parts. Gloss rather patchy. Globular body gradually turning to narrow neck with a stepped collar and small disc rim. Wide low foot with central part of underside slightly recessed. Handle with grooves. Multiple wheel-marks inside and out.
Approx: H. 5.2"(13.2 cm).
27. ROMAN JAR

II-III century A.D.
Light pink-orange fabric, with inclusions of mica; brown slip covering exterior, terminated on inside of neck and at lower body, fired dark brown in some parts. Slip rather patchy. Rounded body with concave neck, flaring mouth, small lip with double groove on inside. Low foot with central part of underside slightly recessed. Handle  with two grooves.
Approx: H.  5.4"(13.7 cm).
28. ROMAN FLAGON

First half of III century A.D.
Orange-brown fabric with dark-red slip covering interior and exterior, terminated at lower body, fired brown-gray in most parts. Globular body gradually turning to narrow neck with an angular flange moulding at the rim. Wide low foot with multiple wheel-marks on underside. Handle with two grooves outside and one deep one inside. Multiple wheel-marks inside and out.
Approx: H. 8.5"(21.6 cm).
29. ROMAN FLAGON

I century A.D.
Orange fabric, dark-red slip with metallic shimmer covering exterior, terminated at lower body and below rim from inside. Broad conical body with nearly horizontal double grooved shoulder; wide, tall, near-cylindrical neck with ridged base and two grooves in the middle; short flared rim with round lip; low  pedestal foot. Angular wide handle with three grooves on the outside.  Pronounced cordon with two symmetrical cone knobs flanking the handle.
Approx: H. 8.9"(22.6 cm).
30. SARMATIAN JAR

I-first half of II century A.D.
Light grey fabric with burnished surface. Low bellied body; short neck, bulging at top, short pedestal base. Small handle with nearly-rectangular cross-section. Upper body decorated by a cordon and two bands of double-grooved  lines. Framed by these lines, both bands decorated with triangular design of burnished lines.
Approx. H.  5.6"(14.2 cm).
