About

Most, if not all;  cars I have owned in the past!

Some of the following are not the actual pictures of my previous cars, but as close as one can get to the model, colour and condition:

Another one I had nearly missed,  just added it, weird as this car was a joy, it was fast and a good ride and the price was very good for the time. Again, a used motor.  The Series 3 e36 1.6, I added a backbox stainless steel high performance exhaust, custom angel-eyes with tainted headlight and the matching backlight reflectors, chrome cold air intake filter and a private plate number MI6 NGW.

This car proved to be one of my best purchases as vehicles go and again; local to me within the Solihull region, it also had lower than usual milage.
I sold this car after about three years and near enough got my money back to what I paid for it. Like, with all my cars, I was very sorry to see it go.

The replacement, a BMW e39, a reliable car normally, this one had the all-renowned battery drain, days, weeks, months of patient diagnosis, ripping the car apart; until it only left the door chime, and is what was causing the problem, seriously! With this disconnected the problem was solved. A very weird scenario, most unexpected.

At some point the BM decided to go into limp mode, a phenomena,  I was unaware of at the time. I later found a solution to sorting out this problem. (one can read about it within the e39 publication).  Again, proved to be a good car and I kept it for must be around four years.

Required very little maintenance other than the regular service that I did myself. Good on long and short journeys  and was economical, considering it was a 2 litre.

I sold it to a young lad that was going to renovate the vehicle for fast performance, he was also going to strip it down, and do a full rebuild, to include a new respray. This needed serious money and it sounded like a good project.

I did  later received a telephone call from him out of the blue, to tell me the alternator needed to be replaced, not sure why 'I' received the call after the sale, or why the alternator failed when it did, but that is life when it comes to buying secondhand+ cars, we all have to do our homework before buying a car and research on what to look out for when buying a vehicle and learn by our mistakes when we have bought them. However, I do think he got a good vehicle for his money.
I did replace the radio, battery and later the headlights and as with most of my cars; I usually get a new set of tyres. I later gave this car to my son, so it didn't last long after that.... however, I did suggest at the time he put in his own radio and thoroughly maintained the vehicle... sometimes one needs to just stand back....or walk away, I did both!
