<<<This usually indicates problems of a faulty ABS/ASC controller/pump. Here is a simple solution how to get rid of the lights and get the ABS and ASC system back to working order.
Note: after repairing my factory aerial I noticed the Canadian ABS light with the exclamation display went out, this was after years it remained on during driving. This can now be pointed to a bad earth at this location. After the aerial was dismantled, repaired and reinstalled rectified, the light on the dash now functions correctly. There are about 5-6 earth wired connected onto the aerial bracket, one of them was most likely not seating correctly causing the problem. Diary entry 13.11.24 (updated)
If your pump look like this it can be repairable. (Part No. 34.51-1 164 897)>>>
1. First step is to remove your pump from the engine bay, no need to disconnect the battery before process (however one would recommend to do so, to save on other possible shorts in other circuits). This pump is not vital and therefore the Z3 can be run without it.
Position within the engine bay.
There are four hex-start nuts holding in the unit
2. When your pump is out, locate the following:>>>
Note: the orientation of the case and cut the plastic using a
small rotary cutter, ideally between where the retaining studs
would be situated.
Lift off the cut plastic square and the circuit board inside
will be exposed
The problem with majority of these ABS/ASC pumps is that the solder on these two joints fail over time. These joints are from the power supply connection of the pump. Inspect carefully seeing it it is soldered together and duplicate through refreshing the solder.
This is the power connector which joints fail over time

3. You will need to resolder these joints to re-enable the power voltage to go to the power pump. DON'T solder away from the inner circles.
The following is just an example of how it should look. As long as the solder is making contact or is seen as close to the original inspection, has been refreshed and is bonding, it should do the trick...
4. Replace the cut-out plastic cover back into place. Make sure it is secure, glued and is watertight. 'Gaffa tape' can be used as a further safeguard over the top to help keep it waterproof.
5. Reinstall the pump back to engine bay, screw the screws and reconnect the connector. Start the engine and go for at least a 10-15 minute drive this will reset and initiate the system if the soldering was done correctly. At this point the warning light should have gone out...

1. Check earth wires and connectors for damage.
2. Use abrasive to clean on each connector.
3. Clean up earth points with abrasive cloth, making sure there is no Greece, rust or paint preventing a good earthing point.
4. Make sure each of the terminal connectors are making good earth contact on each other.
5. Make sure retaining bolt is good and bolted down correctly.
