EXVRGAT DEVS DISSIPENTVR INIMICI. Declaration RELIG PRO LEG ANG LIBER PAR in two lines, three plumes with pellets and X above and date 1642 below. Shrewsbury rev.

Oxford mint, mint mark: Oxford plume
Obverse: King on horseback left with flowing sash, horse over arms and military, Oxford plume in field, legend and borders surrounding with colon stops
Reverse: mint mark seven pellets, declaration in two straight lines, value and three Oxford plumes above, date below, colon stops in legend.
Struck on a full round flan with an attractive tone, small flan crack into legend as often found with these larger pieces
