Note: Security of Tools are Important
Tools are
NOT cheap, however that does not stop your family, from wanting to borrow them, or even worse, your neighbour, never to return them, this can be  frustrating! - So! This is a message reserved to them all! (See notice above)

1st Lesson - Learn to say
NO!
tools were bought for a reason for personal use Only! Not for the neighbourhood or  family members to claim them as theirs.

There is always the Local Garage, ask them if you can borrow their tools and see what they say....why should my answer be any different?

Also: These items listed are purchases available for the D.I.Yer's Toolbox. This list only suggests my personal choices or choice, tools as being useful for the basic, regular and  general car maintenance; mainly as an amateur, maybe useful to a professional re purchases, carried out during one's ownership of a vehicle(s), I am currently maintaining the BMW Z3.
A typical toolbox content, these are the basics and I have purchased these over a period of around 6 years+, unfortunately; some tools had to be replaced based around tools going 'walk about' or 'missing', one or two cheaper items mainly from the East, have just worn out/broken. There are tools that have been excluded, as they may have been featured in the other auto publications, e.g. portable ramps, supports, a wide range of older tools to include larger combination spanners, vices, lump hammers, sockets, tool chests etc. as they may have not been purchased before the current series of publications. Note: It is now 2024, (time flies) and the tool collection has grown even more so.   See tools index for additional tools/equipment  purchases...
