Note: These do not need to be tightened too tight.              Only tighten enough to make the the caliper firm.
Brake Caliper Cradle
Shoe Caliper
This was a second attempt to sort out the handbrake cable and this was down to not being able to get the cable out of the hub. (see page 65a for an update handbrake cable extraction).
Also note: I had to hacksaw a length of thread, enough to allow it to feed through to the handbrake as this proved to be too long to thread through the tube under the car to the handbrake.
Once the cables, shoes etc were all attached and the hub replaced, with the five star or hex nut in place to hold the wheel disc or plate onto the hub, the adjustment can take place. I always set the handbrake on three clicks and adjust the brake shoe adjuster within the hub using a small screwdriver and hub wheel screw hole lined up with the brake adjuster inside the hub. By adjusting up, should expand the brakeshoes out onto the drum inside.
The adjustment should be enough to stop the wheel going around, initially with a hand turn and then with a wheel nut in one of the screw holes and turned with a brace. This will require a little trial and error.
On releasing the handbrake the wheel should now turn.

Change Wheel Discs/Hub Front and Rear

Note: The Wheel Discs and hub removal is :                        1. Take wheel off
fairly straight forward :                                                 2. Take off Brake Cradle (two Bolts at rear)
                                                                                              3. Take off Brake Caliper and Shoes/Pads (Two Capped
Bolts - Use five star or Allen Key - Unscrew out of hub
(May require a number of taps with a hammer)       4. Remove Wheel Disc or Plate
                                                                                              5. Replace with new Disc
                                                                                              6. Check Dust Plate condition
                                                                                              7. Install as in reverse order

'Procedure Ends'
Big Note: when starting off in your BM and one hears a scraping sound, check the following:

1. Brake dust plates on your wheel disc may be insecure or distorted and rubbing on wheel disc.Rectify by reshaping or
cutting away the offending part. If screw holes have eroded, use oversized washers, these can be used to secure the
    dust plate.
2. Is sound eminating from transmission or propshaft tunnel. This could be down to the handbrake cables rubbing on your
propshaft. The sound may appear to be coming from the gear stick area and front wheel, nearside(UK).
Make sure the brake cables are clasped or tied back with ties underside the vehicle, pull any access play towards the
rear of the vehicle and use the original metal clasps, unless they have broken off, then the plastic ties should be used....
Finding a good anchor point for the new ties can be difficult, be carefull as not puncture the fuel tank with self-tapping
screws, could be a costly mistake in terms of time and money. Suggest transmission tunnel or securing at the rear of vehicle
where the original clasps were situatuated, or attached. (...and if you had the thought...no, I didn't!  I was well aware of the
fuel tank at the time and this could easily be done by those with less or no experience).
3. Another possiblity to the cause of noise can be the wheel bearing, by rocking the wheel back and forth towards you and
feeling for play and the sound of knocking will identify this as the problem at least or part of the problem.
