Author's Comments on this Poem:
We are coming up to a major political election on May 7th 2015 and I do have my unashamed views of how I see my country within the United Kingdom, I am not politically correct and I call the shots as I see them. When I write about my country I remember those falling in battle for freedoms in the Great War and the Second World War and think of their values and what they died for. I am told I live in a democracy or meritocracy so we have free speech, right? No doubt free speech will upset some, tell me when it doesn’t!
For those it may offend, perhaps it may be better if one looks at it from a poetic standpoint and appreciate the artistic merits of the poem, if one can see them.
