Their Love Affair with the Devil

When I met you, you offered reluctant love,
Today; I seek a shield and to build a wall.
Your manipulation, throughout the years,
Your anger, your rules and hidden thoughts...
No conversations, to discuss our way;
Your hidden adultery was caught for display,
The coldness of your every word;
That cuts deep to the core in all its way.

In the early days, we were true as friends...
Those days after; I kept hearing the lies, the demands that betray.
I hear them, even today…
There is no answers to your narcissism as one can describe,
And the stare on your face, no soul appeared from within your eyes.
As power, I know is all that you desired.
The cold side of your expression, that helped towards your indiscretions...
What damage was done in your early life?
That bled to detract and attack with venom...
To make you broken and to destroy our dreams,  our mission.

Not to face your ambitions; or to share your life with me...
To only replay the anguish, the hidden loops of your life and history.
I walked away, I cried, only to look back at your repulse towards me...
Of what could have been if they, our lives had been shared to this day.
When I needed you the most, you were just not there...
Your family was first and that is so, you had a husband, as your best friend too…
Their traits had brushed off for you to have away;
You real true love...

You cried, when I walked away as you demanded me to go.
Those crocodile tears, was the giveaway, that opened my eyes with a blow...
And my heart was freed, as there was someone else,
Seen from the reflection of your eyes...
In your shadows looking on, had you known at the time?
Satan had taken you away from me, he  had worked on you and won.
