Henry IV (1399-1413), gold Noble, (image -top) light coinage (1412-13), type IIb, King standing in ship with upright sword and shield, three lis in upper left quarter of shield, lis on stern of ship, trefoil and broken annulet on hull, broken annulet punctuation in legend, Latin legend and beaded border surrounding both sides, hEn RIC DEIo GRAo REX 'ANGL oZo FRAnC oDo hIBo AQ' o rev. pellet and h at centre of cross with ornamental lis terminals, lions in angles, trefoil over lion in second quarter, all within linear and beaded tressure of eight arcs, fleurs in spandrels, double saltire stops in legend, +IhCxx AVTEmxx TRAnSIEnSxx PERxx mEDIVxx ILLORVxx IBAT, weight 6.99g (Schneider 198/-). Weakly struck at centre and on King's head, otherwise a full coin obverse from a lightly rusted die, about very fine and very rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Henry by the Grace of God, King of England and France, Lord of Ireland and Aquitaine"; and on the reverse "But Jesus, passing through the midst of them, went His way" taken from the Bible.
