William IV  1830-1837 AD  

William IV (William Henry; 21 August 1765 - 20 June 1837) was King  of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland  and of Hanover  from 26 June 1830 until his death. William, the third son of George III  and younger brother and successor to George IV , was the last king and penultimate monarch of the House of Hanover .

Plain bust, dies ??. Obv: with GULIELMUS IIII D:G:BRITANNIAR:REX F:D: legend. Rev: crown over SIX PENCE legend in two lines within wreath and date. These coins are noteworthy in that under the reign of William IV the coins bore the words 'SIX PENCE' for the first time. Coins from this period are fairly common. .925 silver, (Top Image) estimated value £400 (2018)
