Estimated period of Oswine A 'Witmen' type gold shilling ('thrymsa') of the Kingdom of Kent.

The type name comes from the inscription carried by the most legible examples, which is WITMEN MONITA or similar. Many, like the present coin, have blundered or pseudo-legends.

Obverse Description:   Diademed and draped bust right; trident in front; no legend.    
Reverse Description:   Cross fourchée within beaded circle; pseudo-legend around.
