OK! Why do I need something like this, I already have a fuse box under the bonnet/hood?
I have a number of accessories and up until now have used chocolate block as a 'junction' for neg/pos, this is messy, unfortunately they are not labelled and it has caused some confusion in tracing and diagnosing some electrical problems. There are also light indicators for each of the 12 circuits. Hopefully with this unit, it should help me when it comes to reorganising the wiring. I have a crimper, wire, some terminals and labels to do the job. Importantly, there are also good earthing points.
It is obvious the fuses that come with it are of a higher rating and should be reduced to at least 2 Amp, especially if putting your standard radio/media player or webcam onto this system. The fuses can be purchased separately. 2 Amp= Dark Grey in colour, (Standard Blade)
