Dynamic Stability Control Reset Light
Sometimes when the battery is disconnected for any length of time the Dynamic Stabiility Control Light (DSC) may stay on on stage II of turning the ignition system on, (lights on the dash clocks illuminate). Normally these lights go out on cranking and starting the engine, however for some unknown reason one may stay on such as the DSC. The following procedure will rest the DSC and extinguish the offending light on the dash.

Procedure:

1. Turn ignition on (second stage) do not engage engine
2.  With ignition on, turn steering wheel anticlockwise until it locks
3.  Repeat in the clockwise direction until the steering wheel locks
4.  Turn ingintion system off
5.  Remove Key
6.  Re-insert ignition key and start engine
7.  At this point, you will notice the DSC light has stopped illuminating.

Check Engine Light Remains On
(Note: Codes will be deleted)

Procedures:

1. Check Fuel Cap is on securely - re-check dash light.
2. Disconnect Negative lead on battery teminal -
Wait 2 minutes before reconnecting - re-check dash light.
3. If light still remains on, get a small jumper crocodile lead and attatch
it to the negative terminal lead (at this point, not attached to the
    battery)
Use the other end of the crocodile lead and connect to the positive on
the battery - Wait 1 minute then disconnect the crocodile leads.
    - Reconnect negative lead to the battery, making surre bolts are tight.
    - Reinsert ignition key and start engine - Light now should be off.

Note: Drive gently for at least 30 miles as the CPU or computer needs to re-collect data as this procedure has reset it back to factory default.
You will most likely need to reset you radio stations back into memory. It is a good idea to have the radio on during this procedure, if you hear a station hiss, the process has worked.

4. Another way of solving the problem is by locating the OBD2 Plug-in Socket, (if fitted). You will need to have purchased the OBD2 Testing Tool. With engine off, plug in the tool (the tool will activate automatically)
- Turn on ignition  - Tester should start scanning
- and start vehicle  - Press to scan on tester to find code error
- Erase the code (check codes in your manual)

The engine light should now be off.
