Let Mountains Lie
Large mountains, giants with white caps,
Look down into the rich green valley
At nature, entranced by the beauty
Of their surrounds.
Their bowl, a lake glistens
By reflecting light;
And trees, the thin giants,
Stretch their fingers into the waters,
That, cause ripples of tidal waves,
Irrigate the land.
Fruit, apples that are berries,
Are never picked, but fall to whoever maybe in need,
For this race may live forever
Unless eroded by weather and age.
These giants are friendly, except!
The giant volcano, who sleeps
For years, to awake with tummy troubles
And high fever.
They are friendly to the birds,
Animals, their loved pets,
But to sleep they must go.
These giants blow a sigh
And the cotton wool clouds move
Across the dark coloured sky:
It is dark
And the giants become still.
Fast asleep thoughts,
A dream, possibly of fantasy.
