Ship That Past In The Night
We were harboured close together,
Only to be ships that pass in the night.
Only to be seen in the harbour,
One of us moured out of sight...

The time we met in the deep ocean,
We found comfort in each others arms.
Where storms raged around us,
We embraced and talked for hours...

Our time together was enlightend,
The music was carried on waves...
I found the truth from her reflection,
Those happy-go-lucky days...

When returned back within the harbour,
The storm clouds would rage ...
Her memories were back in time,
Before our encourter, back to much ealier days...

The blame and loss of her years,
Were scarred into her heart...
And as each day lingered,
She began to fall apart...

The beams allowed a trickle,
And her structure began to break.
The stress and the fractures, increased...
Allowing her to sink below the waves of disgrace...

I look over to the harbour,
And search for her enlightening soul...
I shed a tear of my memory of her,
And the laughter she had on hold...

I wonder what could have been,
With the ships that passed in the night...
I really wanted to know her...
Now she has gone forever, to the light.

The wind  has hit her sails...
She  rides on the waves for tomorrow.
Let us hope that she is happy now...
And living without the sorrow.
