The smell, the feel, the texture...
Opened out upon a desk.
The power generated by collected meaning...
A sword edge, tense as steel.
Informative, humour, art, expression;
Escape the pages and drift within imagination.
The clasp, unlocked into uncounted dimension...
Each word selected and placed in order
To operate the mind machine of disorder...
Through the lens the script is written;
Displayed in front and the play begins...
War, space flight or nature ,
In this one index, one chosen list
And the clock is ticking as the pages are turned
Halted by events outside this enclosure...

Mechanics Of Mind
The machine stops,
Stopping time for this moment..
On return, the activity is repeated...
And the images are projected
Within the cinema of the mind.
A story, whether fact or fiction,
Concludes with or without satisfaction,
Generating a compulsion to analyse...
Until, the pages turn no-more,
And the cover closes with hesitation,
As reality seeps in once more...
Returned, to the shelf,
The machine stops.
