Poem Title: My Door Is Always Open (121)
Date Written: 18.07.25
Author: Nigel G Wilcox
A friend inspired me to write this, though she is not aware of her input and we haven't seen each other for awhile, I was thinking about her and reflecting as I regularly do. I concluded, sometimes speaking honestly can scare some people away, I am never one to hide anything and this can be too honest to a fault to some people. Usually getting to the point, not to play games where one believes truth and honesty should not be something to be hidden or compromised, one learns to take rejection in one's stride. Some can see that the bridge can be rebuilt when realising their actions, if a person is motivated enough to correct the relationship and the return maybe viable, hence 'the door remains open' and there are those that will not or cannot see this opportunity based on their insecurity or possibly, their poor reasoning, they, of course, may feel completely justified or vindicated. The results can sometime hurt and one learns to move on with or without them. I am probably partly to blame for some rejection on some encounters on reflection, as' it can take two to tango,' or one to prevent misinterpretation. My experience is based on partner betrayals of the past.... caution becomes a tool for personal survival or it can also be seen as the barrier to some potentially new relationships.
The divinity theme can be seen as mainly a vehicle and the theme has been an interest to me in terms of writing and exploration for the few of the latest poems and research throughout the site within the publications. (However; if not that, then at least it allows me to address my penance;)). I still do believe we all have a path to follow for whatever reason, some people in life are meant to join you on your travels, some will eventually part ways to follow their own destined paths, probably based on their own peculiar or particular needs or for whatever reasons they decide upon that is their destiny. Those that stay are here to discover, share and fulfil their education or enlightenment, there will be good and their will be bad days to overcome for all that join in on the journey, based on one's relationships, partnerships, their blueprint to be fulfilled, this written before time - it is really down to one's belief system or philosophy of life, that moulds one's character, personality, morals, behaviour, love, trust, truth and personal expectations.
