Chapter Six
Turning One's Back On Media
Author: Nigel G Wilcox 25.02.15
Each day I watch the world and wonder...
Is it with the exposure to media?
Each news bulletin casts a shadow
My senses overload and I question,
As we advance as a species
We become selfish and self-centred.
Insensitive to life’s values…
As I search through the internet,
The reports of negativity grows...
Nature rebels in South Korea
A couple is eaten by a Sink Hole!
A Russian Leader with Asperger’s outgrows his status,
To paranoia and greed, because he can….
Religious groups grooming for the sake of gaining control
Of lives and individuals, insignificance and cries in the name of Allah!
Politicians changing the rules for changes sake...
Only to ignore those changes, as if they are in a class of their own...
Bankers ignoring changes, because they can...
I question, where has all the money gone?
Billions wiped off the spreadsheets, “pounds shillings and pence”,
Wiped off to where?
The money trail to the very rich….!
Violence on pensioners within the streets,
Filmed by Civil Service cameras ...
Supporting habits that could be controlled
Only, if we watched our boarders.
Showing remorse for getting caught
As he sees those that do not despair but despise,
And hits home at his ego…
Looking out of the window, occasional blue sky...
Few birds fly nowadays, as populations have died…
Bird flu, so statistics suggest, whales beach themselves in distress,
Volcanoes blow and lands flood,
Where is the paradigm shift when we need it now?
We only need to be plagued by locusts and job is done….!
Each day I watch the world and media and wonder
Where has hope gone?
