Chapter Six
Author's Comments on this Poem:

Sometimes, as one lives each day, an  incident will trigger memories, in this case I was on a small wooden bridge and I was thinking, of all things,  'Pooh Sticks' from the stories of Winnie the Pooh. It wasn't so much the sticks but it was the leaves from an Ash tree floating down the brook. The brook, the leaves, the sound just reminded me of  'the flows of time', past, present and future.
My memories jumped from one to another and  I couldn't help but re-live some of the events of yesterday, wondering where it went wrong, my current situation and inevitably what would be my future.

Was there room for more compromise?
