Forget the days of soldiers relying on nerveless precision to hit a target, new technologies mean future gunmen will be able to manipulate the direction of a bullet while it is in flight.
Scientists at the New Mexico-based Sandia National Laboratories have invented a bullet that operates like a tiny guided missile to twist and turn its way to a target more than a mile away.
Officials say their Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordnance (EXACTO) system means the manoeuvrable bullets can make up to 30 corrections per second while in the air. It will not be long before we have DNA or image sensing triggered Bullets for perspective targets, however this is not saying that they may already exist.....
