With a nickname like Air Force Night Stalkers, you know they must be frightening, especially since they do most of their missions at night to avoid the risk of being seen. The 160th SOAR is a special operations force of the U.S. Army that was formed in 1981 because, at the time, the U.S. had no helicopter units trained to deal with short-notice night missions. Their missions consist of attack, assault, and reconnaissance.
