The most secretive unit in the Sri Lanka Army is the Special Forces Regiment, which is one of their two special operations units. Their headquarters is in Seeduwa. When they were first formed in 1986, they were known as the “Combat Tracker Team” and then went on to become a reconnaissance group before eventually becaming their own special operation group. They are so secretive that it is unknown to the public exactly what they do or how they pick their members.
