The UK’s Royal Navy has a special forces unit known as the Special Boat Service and it was formed during World War II. It specializes in maritime counter-terrorism operations. They are considered to be the UK’s most highly-trained special forces unit and they aren’t in the news very often because they prefer to keep their activities under the radar. The SBS work a lot with Surveillance Reconnaissance, Offensive Action, and Support and Influence.
