WWII Visual CUE
This would never happen today, but back in the 1940’s WWII fighter planes were utilized as a canvas for artwork… of a certain kind. Its interesting to say the least, and also a commentary on the times. Beautiful women of the day were depicted in mural-like form along the side of some of the nation’s most powerful aircraft, and here are the cream of the crop.
WWII nose art was not viewed as exploitation of women or perverse by any means. Innocently enough, it was a way to relax and motivate young airmen through the use of sex and humor. Plus, much of this artwork was really well drawn.
