New Changes for School Legislation in the UK on Genders
There are now 79% of schools have at least one child identifying as trans or non binary in schools as of 2023. Prior to this the percentage used to be very low.
This has been a concern to the Government and parents and therefore the Government has surveyed schools and a paper and the results were published in July 2019. Updates have followed periodically up to 11 September 2023

So, what does this mean? Schools can only state the child's gender at birth via the Birth Certificate, teachers cannot place in gender down to the child's choice on the day. There are only two choices MALE or FEMALE.
