For those that have read my diary will remember in the early days of purchasing my beamer, I had decided to checkout the front struts, rubber stops and plastic boots on the suspension and ended up having to do a rush to Halfords to get the spring compressors, paying an extortionate price, (I belive I paid around the £32 mark) there was torrential rain, it was cold and miserable. I had even checked on eBay and there was nothing and I was desperate to get the car back on the road.

Today however, they are all over the place and are more reasonably priced. Life can be like that. (I Must have done someting really bad in my last life....)

As handy tools go, these are a must for the budding mechanic and I think they diserve a mention. (Better late than never).

Caution: It is always advised when using these tools on coil springs to use extreme caution as this can be dangerous, read my diary on this subject, or get professional advice before commencing this job.
