(if buying from overseas, be warned import duties can be as much as £70-£80 on this type of unit).
Head Unit  - Head Unit arrived yesterday for the BM, (D51066E ordered months ago on sale of the E36) now loosely fitted, I  had a few problems, as the aerial lead required an adapter to plug into the unit  - (99p EBay) and the unit required a few attempts at getting the reverse camera to work, in conjunction with the reverse gear, (wires thin, connected to reverse lamp, positive and a local chassis bolt for the earth. The camera’s thin wires for the electrics are not the ideal thickness, had to triple up and used insulation tape to keep the wires together to be enclosed in a Scotchlok, later replaced with a chocolate block connector mainly to accomodate third party rear sensor connections and reverse camera wiring. The wiring has now  been tidied up and insulated to match other wiring.

GPS had to be set up, some reason very little instruction came with this unit, but all in all, I believe I am slightly brighter than a chimp, so managed to work out the wiring, just! - (Borrowed the chimp from a local zoo) all seems ok.
