A Bench Vice is a must for any mechanic or fitter to fit in a shed or garage. When purchasing a vice, it can be difficult to gauge the sizes unless there are familiar objects standing next to it with a standard or known scale. Familiarity with the manufacturers scale can prove useful, otherwise it is a hit or miss process. The rule of thumb is the price - these two vice are the same size and are reasonably small, however can be used for more precise work e.g. holding a coil or a brake calliper.

I recently disassebled an old kitchen unit, carefully stripped out of a house that was being renovated, ideal for a garage workbench and storage and ideal for mounting a couple of vice. Everything but the kitchen sink!
