Cleaning Plastic Headlights
I watched a few YouTube videos on cleaning misted headlights using toothpaste (Crest), I did try other manufactured toothpaste, but Crest seemed to have the right chemical composition (and we use it for our teeth?)  A spray  container of water, fine emery paper, black Kiwi shoe wax polish, (one I added, it helps with polishing and gives the plastic a protective coating) and it worked quite well, even better when  the light unit has been drained of water. Cleaning and resealing the light unit,  allow at least half to a full day for a satisfactory result.. Before sealing the unit, you may want  to consider fitting or replace your factory standard 'Angel-Eyes' with LEDs:

Eight days on, I have fitted LED Angel Eyes, well the LED rings at least and wired them up to the ‘parking or side lights’. I spent two days wondering why the normal sidelight bulb illuminated especially when testing the brown wire with a multimeter, I was not getting any positive reading. A blown bulb should have given me the clue, but went straight over my head…..

It dawned on me and of hour’s thumbling around like ‘Homer Simpson’ and recollecting from a bi-gone era; a number of years ago on another BM, I had the same problem of not having a  live feed, ( I was working on an alarm system at the time) even though the headlights worked, on this BM, the Angel Eyes just didn't want to work, it was a weird one or so it seemed, so simple in rectrospect, but one can be blinkered to ones training. All instances began flashing through my memory  and one memory popped up, of my father having a problem with the wiring of a small fridge in a German Caravan ……wait for it……'The Penny Dropped! Yes, the 'Brown' wire is the earth or ground wire, the other wires, (can be of any colour as indicated for the component well,  for the motor industry at least).
The Ground  earth is totally the opposite and contradictory, (or is that just for house wiring...?) over here in the UK.  Cut a long story short the Angel Eyes now work well, even change colours Red, yellow, purple, green, blue

Worth noting and one to remember when working on foreign cars...(come to think of it....most cars are foreign! Something to do with politicians, but that can be for another time....).

Note:UK Color Code:  (Normally, Red/Brown, and other manufacting colour codes  is usually  the colour for Positive Live, Black is normally the neutral 'colour' for Ground earth UK).
Foreign: Brown is Ground earth - Live is to  manufacturing colour codes. If in doubt, buy a manual, with the wiring diagrams.
